The historical collection is the first one that started filling museum funds. This was the result of state ideology and expresion of personality of Radovan Milosevic as person deeply commited to local heritage. Local history is determined by its industrial heritage and workers strugle for better life. Therefore first name of historical department was Department for workers movement and National Liberation Fight. The relationship of the Museum and local community was dinamic and it was built through different memorabilia (badges, postcards, photography, seals, promotional material ) collectors meetings. Those ware precious opportunities (almost every Saturday) for Museum to find new and important information about heritologicly important areas for its developement. Members of these groups and their friends ware the donators of artifacts in relation to WW1 and WW2.
